FSSAI's household adulteration tests list one test for ghee: a few drops of tincture of iodine, where blue colour shows added starch. It does not detect vegetable oil or vanaspati: FSSAI's ghee standard checks those in a lab, with the Baudouin test and β-sitosterol.

What we can talk about
- Why ghee prices move, month to month and through the seasons
- What Bilona, A2, and "pure ghee" mean on a label, and what they do not
- How much milk and time a kilo of Bilona ghee takes
- Why ghee changes colour and grain from winter to monsoon
- How to check a jar at home, and what only a lab can check
- What customers ask a small ghee maker on WhatsApp
We are ghee makers, not doctors. For health questions we point to ICMR-NIN and FSSAI. We do not call any brand fake or bad, and the Lab does not rank brands.
