How the Lab works

We say who we are

We are the Parmar family, and we make and sell Bilona ghee in Gir Somnath, Gujarat. Our own jars appear in the data, marked "ours". The Lab does not rank brands.

Every number has a date and a source

Prices come from each brand's own shop, or BigBasket for brands that do not sell online themselves, on the date shown. Tests and limits come from FSSAI. Nothing is estimated.

Old data stays online

Each monthly edition is frozen when it goes out, so you can compare months. Corrections are noted on the page, never made silently.
