Anveshan Ghee Review: Price, Milk, Proof, Is It Worth It?
Anveshan ghee review: on paper it is a good curd ghee, with a lab report behind a QR code on each jar and a 1 L cow jar at ₹1,777 with its offer on 4 November 2026. Its weak spots are a strict returns policy and no stated promise of a jar made after you order. We make a rival ghee and rank ours first, for reasons shown here.
Anveshan ghee review: is it good?
Yes, going by what Anveshan publishes, it is a good curd ghee for a home that wants a report it can open and a lower price with the coupon. Buy the Gir jar if one breed matters to you. Look elsewhere if you want a jar made after you order, or a return if the taste is not for you.
Know what this review is. We read Anveshan's own product and policy pages on 4 November 2026, and every fact about the brand here comes from them. We did not send a jar to a lab for this page, so we cannot tell you what is in any one batch. Its shop shows 4.9 stars from 2,053 reviews on the A2 Desi jar, but those are reviews on the brand's own shop. For Anveshan set against one other brand, see Two Brothers vs Anveshan ghee.
Which Anveshan ghee should you buy?
Buy the A2 Desi jar for the lowest cow ghee price, the A2 Gir jar if you want a single breed, and the buffalo jar for sweets and parathas. All three say they are churned from cultured curd, not cream, and list a shelf life of 12 months.
A2 Desi Cow Ghee
The page says the milk is from indigenous cows in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Gujarat, that the cows graze freely, and that they are never given hormones. It names no single breed for the jar, though its benefits text talks about Gir cows. Read it as pooled milk from native cows.
A2 Gir Cow Ghee
One breed, Gir cows, made on farms in Gujarat, and the page says each batch clears 40+ quality checks. It costs more than the A2 Desi jar at 1 L. On 4 November the 500 mL pack carried a much bigger offer than the 1 L, which is why it looks cheap per litre below.
Bilona-Churned Desi Buffalo Ghee
Surti and Jaffarabadi buffalo milk from Maldhari herders in Gujarat, per the page. The page we read on 4 November offered only 2.5 L and 5 L dolchis, so it suits a home that gets through a lot of ghee. Our price index found a 1 L jar on 25 October; check whether it is back. Buffalo ghee brands compared are on best buffalo ghee in India.
How much does Anveshan ghee cost?
A litre of Anveshan cow ghee cost ₹2,200 listed, or ₹1,777 with its offer, on 4 November 2026. The offer is 15% off with the code PURE15 plus 5% more for paying online. Compare the offer price only if you will use both.

Anveshan's own product pages, 4 November 2026, the week of Diwali, so offers may not last. Offer is the price the page showed with its coupon and prepaid discount; the Gir 500 mL offer needed no coupon. Listed per-litre figures are our arithmetic.
Two things stand out in that table. Bigger is not always cheaper: the 2.5 L dolchi costs more per litre than the 1 L jar in both cow ghees, so take the 2.5 L for the steel can, not to save money. And offers swing widely, so the Gir 500 mL at ₹1,411 a litre tells you about that week, not the usual level. Our Ghee Price Index tracks these jars each month.
Anveshan and Rosier: each brand's own product page, offer or sale price, 4 November 2026. Authentic Urban: our live price, the same day.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Authentic Urban A2 Gir cow, 1 L | ₹2,399 a litre |
| Anveshan A2 Gir cow, 1 L, offer | ₹2,140 a litre |
| Rosier Gir cow, 1 L, sale | ₹1,809 a litre |
| Anveshan A2 Desi cow, 1 L, offer | ₹1,777 a litre |
| Anveshan A2 Gir cow, 500 mL, offer | ₹1,411 a litre |
Our jar is the dearest bar on that chart, and we would rather you see it here than find it later. For a family of four, a teaspoon each a day, our Gir cow ghee costs about ₹1,440 a month, and Anveshan's A2 Desi about ₹1,070 at the offer price. Curd ghee is costly for everyone: about 30 to 35 litres of milk go into 1 kg of our cow ghee, as why A2 Bilona ghee is expensive explains.
Is Anveshan ghee pure?
We cannot say from outside, and no brand's page can prove it for your jar. What Anveshan offers is a way to check: its page says every batch is lab-tested and screened for adulteration to FSSAI standards, and every jar has a QR code that opens that batch's report. Use it.
When the report opens, match the batch number and date to your label, then look for these lines. They are the limits FSSAI sets for ghee, and the ones we cook to as well. How to read the rest is on how to read a ghee lab test report.

Anveshan also says A2 ghee is easier on the gut. Treat that as the brand's view, since almost no milk protein is left once ghee is cooked; what the label really means is on what is A2 ghee. At home, warm a spoon and run the checks on how to identify pure ghee. A grainy set is normal for curd ghee, and in summer our own jars stay liquid, so neither tells you much alone.
What if you dislike it, or the jar leaks?
If you simply dislike the taste, Anveshan's written policy will not help: a request can be declined when it is only about taste, or about natural changes in colour, aroma, or texture. Its policy says returns are generally not accepted on food.
For a jar that arrives damaged, leaking, wrong, missing, or expired, you have 48 hours from delivery. It asks for your order ID, photographs of the product, box, and label, and a complete, unedited unboxing video for most of those claims. If it agrees, it may send a replacement, refund you, or give store credit. Cash on delivery refunds come as a gift card. So film the box when it arrives.
On transit damage, their written policy gives you more than ours. Our 7-day quality return does cover a taste you dislike, but for a jar that melts, leaks, or breaks in transit, we make it good with a discount on your next order.
Anveshan vs Authentic Urban: which should you buy?
We rank ours first, and we make it. Our ghee is cooked after you order, from Gir cow milk only, and a video of your own jar comes on WhatsApp with the tracking. Anveshan is cheaper with its offer and has the stronger paper trail. Here is the whole picture.
Anveshan vs Authentic Urban ghee

Verdict: Anveshan wins on offer price, a report for each jar, and damage claims. Authentic Urban wins on a jar made after your order, a video of that jar, and a 7-day quality return that covers taste.
Anveshan: its product and refund policy pages, 4 November 2026. Authentic Urban: our live price and our own policy, the same day.
Our batches start with milk set to curd for 8 to 12 hours, churned for 30 to 45 minutes, and the makkhan cooks in a matki on a wood chulha for 45 to 90 minutes. That is the better part of two days from curd to jar, and it is the same jar in the video you receive. Anyone can visit and watch; the steps are on how we make ghee. Why curd matters at all is on Bilona ghee vs cream ghee.
Buy Anveshan if
- You want to open a lab report for the jar in your hand.
- You will pay online and use the coupon, so the price matters most.
- You want glass or steel, never plastic.
Buy Authentic Urban if
- You want a jar cooked for your order, and a video of it.
- You want Gir milk only, from one place you can visit.
- You want free delivery, cash on delivery, and a 7-day return that covers taste.
Anveshan vs Rosier ghee: which is better?
They are close, so pick on proof and price on the day. Rosier's page says Gir cow milk only, set to curd overnight, hand-churned, and it lists screening for 55 pesticide residues and 7 heavy metals. Its 1 L jar was ₹2,380 listed and ₹1,809 on sale on 4 November 2026.
Rosier at that price is one breed for about the price of Anveshan's pooled-milk jar with its offer. Anveshan's case is the QR report on every jar. If you want more names on one page, our ranked list is best cow ghee in India.
What to check before you buy Anveshan ghee: 5 points
Save this one. Four of the five points work for any brand, ours included.
- 1 Choose the jar first. A2 Desi and A2 Gir are different milk at different prices, so do not compare one jar's price with the other's breed.
- 2 Work out the price per litre for the exact pack in your cart. On Anveshan's page the 2.5 L dolchi cost more per litre than the 1 L jar.
- 3 See what the price needs. The offer price on most packs needs a coupon and online payment, so a cash on delivery order can cost more.
- 4 Scan the QR before you open the jar. Match the batch number and date on the report with your label, then read the limits below.
- 5 Keep the box and film the unboxing. Anveshan asks for a complete, unedited video for a damaged, leaking, or wrong item, within 48 hours.
Already have a jar at home? Run it through our ghee purity checker.
Which ghee would we buy instead of Anveshan?
Ours. Whichever you pick, warm a spoon first: it should smell of toasted milk. Our jar is cooked after you order, reaches you in about 5 to 7 days with free delivery, and you can pay on delivery.
Our A2 Gir cow ghee is ₹2,399 a litre, and our Jafarabadi buffalo ghee is ₹1,999 a litre.
Each order is cooked after you place it, and the packing video is of that batch. Past order videos are on the shop.
FAQ
Which is better: Anveshan or Authentic Urban ghee?
We rank our own A2 Gir cow Bilona ghee first, at ₹2,399 a litre, because it is Gir milk only, cooked after you order, and you get a video of your own jar. Anveshan costs less with its offer and puts a lab report behind a QR code on each jar. If those two things matter most, buy Anveshan.
Does the Anveshan PURE15 coupon work on cash on delivery?
On 4 November 2026 Anveshan's page showed the offer as 15% off with the code PURE15, plus 5% more for paying online. The extra 5% is tied to prepaid orders, so a cash on delivery order should expect to miss at least that part. Offers on its site change often, so check the final amount in the cart before you pay.
Can I return Anveshan ghee if I do not like the taste?
Not under its written policy. Anveshan says returns are generally not accepted on food, and a request may be declined if it is only about taste or preference, or about natural changes in colour, aroma, or texture. It reviews jars that arrive damaged, leaking, wrong, missing, or expired, when you report them within 48 hours with photographs and, for most of these claims, an unboxing video.
Does Anveshan ghee come in plastic?
No, according to its own page. Anveshan says its ghee comes in glass jars and reusable stainless steel dolchis, and the packs it listed on 4 November 2026 were 500 mL and 1 L glass with 2.5 L and 5 L dolchis. Our own jars are glass or BPA-free food-grade plastic, wrapped in honeycomb paper and shrink-wrapped, so ask which one you are getting if it matters to you.
Why is Anveshan buffalo ghee white?
Anveshan's own page calls white the characteristic colour of its buffalo ghee, and describes it as dense and creamy because of the high-fat milk. So a white jar is what the brand expects you to receive, not a fault. Colour alone tells you little about any ghee: cow ghee turns more yellow in the monsoon too. Judge a jar by warming a spoon. It should smell of toasted milk.
How long does Anveshan ghee last?
Anveshan lists a shelf life of 12 months on its cow and buffalo ghee pages. A sealed jar of curd ghee keeps at room temperature without a fridge. Once it is open, use a dry spoon, keep the lid shut, and stand it away from the stove and sunlight. Those are the same rules we give for our own jars, which keep 9 to 12 months sealed.
About the editorial team
Authentic Urban TeamBilona ghee makers, Gir Somnath, Gujarat
We are the Parmar family in Gir Somnath, Gujarat. We have made ghee here since 2016 and sold it online since 2025. We make only Bilona ghee, test it every month, and anyone is welcome to visit and watch it being made. Our Gir cows and Jafarabadi buffalo are grass-fed village animals that graze near the Gir forest, with no hormones or milk boosters. We set their milk to curd, churn it, and cook the makkhan on a wood chulha. These articles come from that kitchen and from what customers ask us on WhatsApp. We are ghee makers, not doctors.
